Crossness Engines Trust
There will be 3 Open Days in 2009 when the Crossness beam engine house will be open to the public to see the restored engine working in steam
Sunday 26th April which will focus on the engineering aspects of the giant
rotative beam engines that powered the pumps
Sunday 21st June when the theme will be aimed at the Young at Heart with
displays of interest to those from age 8 to 80.
Sunday 23 rd August looking to the future with improved visitor facilities and
more restored Engines.
Open Days run from 10.00am to 4.30pm with last admissions at 4.00pm. Tickets £5 with children under 16 FREE. There is a large car park, light refreshments will be available and there is a Museum Shop all at The Crossness Engines Trust, Old Works, Crossness S. T. W., Belvedere Road, Abbey Wood, London SE2 9AQ
Also, there will be a free shuttle bus service from/to Abbey Wood station every half hour
